How to Check Domain Availability in Bulk

RushGrade · October 21, 2026

Checking domain names one at a time works when you have five ideas. It breaks down when an AI naming session, spreadsheet, or brainstorming exercise gives you hundreds of candidates.

Normalize the list first

Remove protocol prefixes, www, paths, punctuation, and duplicate names. A bulk checker should accept common separators such as commas, spaces, new lines, and copied lists without forcing a special format.

Separate availability from deeper research

The first pass should answer one question quickly: is there a current .com registration? Registration details, expiration research, backlinks, and value analysis can happen only on the names that deserve a second look.

Export only what matters

When the goal is registration, a clean one-domain-per-line TXT export is often more useful than a report filled with status text. It can be pasted into a registrar bulk tool or saved for later review.

Final availability can change

A registry lookup is a point-in-time check. A name that appears available can be registered by someone else before you complete checkout with a registrar.
